The University of Exeter's Theatrical Production Society

About Us

ExeTech is the University of Exeter's only theatrical production society - offering training and socials for those interested in all things backstage. We welcome students with any level of experience, including those who never having done it before.

Training will start with the basics and refreshment courses, and throughout the year will gradually get more advanced to improve your skill set, whether you just want to try something out or be a lead designer and operator for a show!

Training

Our Training Sessions cover every aspect of theatrical production : lighting, sound, makeup, costume, and stage.

The sessions provide a relaxed environment to learn new skills through hands on experience and talks from industry professionals.

Socials

ExeTech runs an exciting programme of socials, ranging from bowling, to scavenger hunts, and many pub trips!

There is no pressure to drink at any of our meet-ups, and one of our committee will always remain sober.

Operations

ExeTech maintains a stock of theatrical electrical equipment which is available for hire by societies.

We also look after the permanent lighting and sound equipment in The Theatre (DH1) and provide packages of gear for other spaces.

The Theatre @ Exeter workshop space which is used for set design is also managed by ExeTech.
